Standing monthly reading
The same channels, every month: new figures, a short note on what changed, and a flag if the line leaves the band you named.

A standing reading only makes sense after we have already interpreted the series once. The first commission sets the channels, the bands you care about, and the way events are marked. After that, each month’s file is drawn in the same frame.
What arrives each month
New figures for the agreed channels, a note of a page or two on where the line sat relative to last month, and a separate flag if a value leaves a band you named in writing (for example, a dryer probe above a figure you set, or a night set-back that failed to hold).
What it is not
It is not a night watch and it is not an alarm service. Files are read on working days. If a motor fails on a Saturday, this desk will not telephone you at dawn. Keep whatever alarm the instrument already has.
Stopping
A standing arrangement runs month to month after the first quarter. You may stop at the end of a month with written notice. Months already drawn are payable. How deposits and unused months are treated is set out on the refund page.
