Sensor readings drawn as figures and read in ordinary language

The room

How the Kutaisi reading room came to keep other people's logs

A person writing by hand in a notebook

Sensorstreamcore Analytics is a reading room on Chavchavadze Avenue in Kutaisi. It exists because a dryer in a local mill kept two temperature pens, and the night book never quite agreed with the day book. Someone had to sit with both strips, mark the hour the clocks diverged, and write a page the shift leads would accept. That habit became the work.

We are not an instrument shop. The probes already belong to the people who send us files. Our part is the drawing and the reading: units on the axis, gaps left visible, events named in the margin, and a note in Georgian or English that says what the line did.

How the pages are made

Nino draws. She insists on the sampling interval before she sets the axis. Giorgi goes out when the log looks like two different habits stapled together. Tamar writes the reading once the figures are stable, and she will send a draft list of room names back to you rather than guess what you call the north bay.

The values we work by are small. We do not smooth a series to make a meeting easier. We do not claim a probe is wrong unless you tell us it was changed or failed. We keep other people’s logs in a locked cabinet for the retention period set in the privacy notice, then they go.

Place

Kutaisi is close to mills, glasshouses in the Rioni plain, and water works that still keep paper beside the logger. The postal address is used as given: Level 7, 18 Chavchavadze Avenue, Kutaisi 4600. Briefings are by appointment. The telephone is +995 431 555 436.

Visitors for briefings come to Level 7. The stair is marked; the room smells faintly of paper and tea, not of new equipment.
